Tropical Storm Eta Makes Landfall for a Second Time in Florida

TS Eta at 4a on 11.12.20

Tropical Storm Eta made landfall early this morning for the second time in Florida near Cedar Key. This is the fourth time Eta has made landfall.

Western and Central Florida are expected to get another 1 to 3 inches of rain today and could feel tropical storm-force winds and potential hurricane-force.

Eta is currently moving northeast at 13 mph with maximum sustained winds of 50 mph.

The Tropical Storm Warning south of the middle of Longboat Key has been discontinued.

The Tropical Storm Watch has been discontinued.

The Storm Surge Warning between Bonita Beach and Middle of Longboat Key, Florida, including Charlotte Harbor, has been discontinued. The Storm Surge Watch has been discontinued.
