Entering the season, the Heisman race looked like Trevor Lawrence and Tua Tagovailoa vs. everyone else.
Now, we’ve got a new quarterback joining the fray — LSU’s Joe Burrow, who opened at 200/1 earlier this year and was 25/1 entering Week 2.
He’s now 9/2, the third betting choice behind Tagovailoa and Oklahoma’s Jalen Hurts.
Burrow has been a marvel in LSU’s new spread offense, throwing for 749 yards with 9 touchdowns through two games. That included 471 yards against Texas on Saturday.
Ohio State quarterback Justin Fields has also been moving up, albeit at a slower clip since he opened at 12/1. He’s down to 8/1 after post 13 total touchdowns.
