To say the Jaguars have had bad luck at the Tight End position this season would be an understatement. Rooke TE Josh Oliver was recently sent to the IR due to small back fractures, and Charles Jones was promoted from the practice squad to the 53-man roster. “It feels good. Just been always watching the older guys, the guys like O’Shaughnessy, Geoff Swaim, and Ben Koyak and Seth DeValve, just learning from them,” Jones said via Big Cat Country on Wednesday. “That’s kinda made it an easier process. An exciting one. Words can’t describe how I feel.”
Doug Marrone in his press conference on Wednesday was asked about his confidence in Jones: "I think he will have a role for us on Sunday. Obviously, we will see how practice goes, but obviously we expect him to be able to contribute." The Jaguars will face The Titans on the road this Sunday.
