Jaguars QB Gardner Minshew now Favorite to win Rookie of The Year

The Jaguars came from 14 points behind to beat the Denver Broncos in Week 4. And Gardner Minshew’s performance is now having a league wide effect. He threw for 213 yards, two touchdowns and that has shot him up the leaderboard. According to DraftKings -Minshew improved to 2/1 and Jones’ odds slipped to 2/1 to give us a pair of co-favorites.

Jones took a step back from his starting debut against the New York Giants, but got the job done against a bad Washington team. He finished with 225 passing yards, one touchdown and two interceptions, and rushed for 33 yards in a 24-3 Giants victory.

Minshew and the Jaguars travel to face the Carolina Panthers in Week 5, while Jones and the Giants host Minnesota. If Jones can put together a decent performance against the Vikings , he could reclaim the sole lead given the solid nature of the Vikings defense. At the same time, if Minshew adds another road win to his resume, against a decent Panthers team, the two quarterbacks might continue running neck-and-neck.
