Alex Hornibrook transferred to Florida State this past offseason to compete for the starting quarterback job for the Seminoles. He has apparently upset some of his former teammates with a comment about quality and effort.
Hornibrook, seemingly trying to give credit to his new teammates, told reporters that he’d “never been around a groups of wide receivers that love football so much and never want to leave the field.”
His former teammates were not thrilled by the comment. They took to Twitter to express their displeasure with what he’d said.
Last season Hornibrook finished with 1,532 yards passing and 13 touchdowns with 11 interceptions.
