Tiger Woods texted four time major champion Brooks Koepka ahead of this week's Open Championship asking Koepka if he wanted to play a practice round, to which Woods got no response:
“Tell you a funny story. I texted Brooksy, congratulations on another great finish. What he’s done in the last four major championships has been just unbelievable. To be so consistent, so solid. He’s been in contention to win each and every major championship. And I said, ‘Hey, dude, do you mind if I tag along and play a practice round?’I’ve heard nothing." - Tiger Woods
Koepka was asked about being texted by Woods at a media session at The Open earlier today, and Koepka responded by saying that he only practices before majors:
"I just practice before the majors...Regular tournaments, I don't practice. If you see me on TV, that's when I play golf." - Brooks Koepka
Coverage of The Open begins on Thursday, Koepka enters the tournament with the second best odds to win it, behind only Rory McIlroy.
