Chrissy Teigen Remembers Baby Jack On What Would've Been His Due Date

Chrissy Teigen honored the memory of her baby boy Jack, who passed away during her pregnancy last year.

The Cravings author took to her Instagram Stories with an adorable homage to her late son on what would have been his due date, Saturday (February 20). "Today was your due date. we love you forever," the 35-year-old captioned with a purple heart emoji on a picture of a beaded bracelet spelling out Jack’s name alongside bracelets for her other children, daughter Luna and son Miles.

Teigen and her husband John Legend announced they were expecting baby number three last summer. Tragedy struck in September 2020 when Jack, at 20 weeks, passed away due to pregnancy complications.

"We are shocked and in the kind of deep pain you only hear about, the kind of pain we’ve never felt before. We were never able to stop the bleeding and give our baby the fluids he needed, despite bags and bags of blood transfusions. It just wasn’t enough," she wrote on Instagram at the time.

Since the devastating loss, the mommy-of-two has been on a journey of inner healing, and part of that journey involves keeping baby Jack’s memory alive.

On February 3, Teigen admitted to feeling “a bit off” as Jack’s due date approached. "My little jack would have been born this week so I'm a bit off,” Teigen wrote in a tweet. “I truly feel kicks in my belly, but it's not phantom. I have surgery for endometriosis tomorrow...but the period feeling this month is exactly like baby kicks. sigh."

She also shared a video of her belly on Twitter, writing, “I’ll pretend it’s him saying hi - it never stops.”

In December 2020, Teigen, who has entered “intense grief counseling” since the loss, also revealed that she will “never” be able to be pregnant again.
