Jerry Stackhouse To Be Named New Head Coach At Vanderbilt

Vanderbilt and Jerry Stackhouse are nearing an agreement. “Barring something unforeseen” Stackhouse will be the team’s next head coach.

Stackhouse is currently an assistant coach with the NBA’s Memphis Grizzlies.

He previously led the Toronto Raptors’ G-League team to a championship in 2017, earning Coach of the Year honors in the process.

Vanderbilt moved on from former head coach Bryce Drew following the 2018-19 season after the Commodores finished 0-18 in the SEC. He had just one winning season with Vanderbilt – his first when he led the team to the NCAA Tournament.

However, the Commodores finished 21-43 over the next two seasons.
