Tate Martell Becoming Transfer Recruiting Tool for Miami

One of the major factors in Miami’s favor when it came to landing Martell was the fact that two of his high school teammates were already in the program. Tight end Brevin Jordan is entering his sophomore year at The U, while safety Bubba Bolden just transferred in from USC.

Now, it looks like Martell is trying to convince another one of his buddies to join him in Coral Gables. This particular player–former UCLA five-star linebacker Jaelan Phillips–was the top prospect in the nation two years ago.

Martell fired off via twitter that Phillips is visiting Miami this coming weekend.

Phillips played in only 10 games in two seasons at UCLA due to injuries.
